At 80,000 pound minimum yield strength, RIB-BAK® u channel signposts have 25 percent more yield strength than many competitive signposts. It all boils down to the chemistry of the steel. Nucor uses domestic U.S. New Billet Steel while competitors use either foreign or domestic rail steel, which leads to an inconsistent product with much lower strength.

RIB-BAK’s yield strength is always 80,000 pound minimum yield, whereas the discount brands are manufactured with a much lower strength, 60,000 pound minimum yield, steel.
