High visibility clothing (hi vis clothing) is essential equipment for construction workers. And a hi vis winter jacket is a necessary piece of construction apparel for anyone performing their duties during colder weather. Not only do these specialized construction work clothes provide crucial warmth, but they also increase the visibility of workers and help prevent accidents.

Hi Visibility Jackets (Bomberjacket)

We offer two styles of hi visibilty bomber jackets on our site. They both include a warm, fleece liner, but one has a removable liner, while the other has a permanent, non-removable liner. Made from weather resistant polyurethane coated fabric, these jackets feature a hideaway hood with drawstring and hook loop closures, fleece lined front pockets, a radio pocket and a pencil pocket on the sleeve. The dual orange / lime color along with reflective tape on both the jacket and liner maximize visibility. These jackets meet ANSI 107-2004 Class III requirements for reflectivity.

What is a Bomber Jacket?

Bomber jackets are also known as "flight jackets" since they were originally created by the United States Army's Aviation Clothing Board to keep pilots warm during flight. Bomber jackets are waist-length coats, with a zipper front, and are gathered/ribbed at both the waist and cuffs to prevent cold air from penetrating and warm air from escaping. Early bomber jackets were fur lined, while many of today's styles feature fleece instead.

Though these won't help keep you warm, we also sell hi visibility vests. Hi vis safety vests are offered in sizing up to 5XL and can be worn on top of your winter construction wear, if you don't have a high vis coat.
